Welcome to the
Eslamieh Center (TEC)
The Eslamieh Center (TEC) was established in 2018 to explore the botanical and chemical compounds of the many species in the Boswellia, Bursera, and Commiphora genera. The Center has been experimenting with the domestication of these species through various means including hybridization and selective breeding. We have developed many new species conducive for diverse climate zones, and we strive to introduce specific trees designed to produce resin with prescribed chemical compounds.
We are experimenting, particularly, with the totality of Boswellia management from horticulture to resin extraction, to strike a balance between the preservation of the habitat trees and economic feasibility. We hope to work with academic communities and collaborate with stakeholders to change industry practices.
